The Sun 003-3889-01 is exactly the same as the Sun 003-3832-01 tape media. The only difference is that the 003-3889-01 comes initialized. However both have the same capacities and have a native capacity of up to 200 GB when used with the 9940B tape drives. Both these enterprise tape cartridges have an archival life of up to 30 years. The Sun Microsystems 003-3889-01 has an AMP (Advanced Metal Particle) tape formulation and use PEN substrate base. The 003-3889-01 is durable enough to last for a minimum of 10,000 load/unloads.
