Once docked, your ThinkPad stays securely in place and connects to all of your peripherals-and it's shared across all newer ThinkPads.

Unless you decide to share it. The T590 includes ThinkShutter, a physical cover that ensures your camera is on only when you want it to be. You can also add an optional IR (infrared) camera and optional touch fingerprint reader for biometric login. And the discrete Trusted Platform Module keeps your data encrypted.
